I'm a young, clean & sober individual involved in the A.A. program.... but where do I find a c & S lady friend

I used to meet women at the club, now i can't be in that atmosphere. I'm looking for a clean and sober woman (age doesn't really matter) who loves life and loves fun, and i wanted to know if anyone out there has a clue where to find one. The main problem i'm having is that alcohol was my liquid courage and without it, i'm quite shy..............SOMEONE HELP ME!!!!!!!!!!

Reply:On some dating sites they have preferences about drinking.


I mean you could meet one anywhere. It is all in getting to know someone. A lady may not want to disclose that she doesn't imbibe (sometimes it can be a social deterrent) but she may be comfortable to once she gets to know you.


Try hiking or bike riding with friends in a popular place.


Or dining alone. Trust me that totally works for some reason.


The grocery store is a good place. OR a bookstore (men who read things other then mens magazines are a turn on).

Reply:Go to more meetings - especially the ones in Hollywood - like Architexts of Adversity at the log cabin on Robinson and Melrose (West Hollywood) Saturday at 11:30 a.m. If you are local. they are also there mon. thru fri at 7:30 ( too early for me) --lots of hotties there!

Reply:There are tons of places that C %26amp; S people hang out with each other. The only problem is that there must be a reason that you've quit drinking. Most of the time it is a moral decision as opposed to a health decision. Having been to several AA and NA meetings I know that there is the whole concept of locating the higher power! well Churches and other religious associations provide enviroments for such needs. It doesn't have to be a church, there are associations like the ymca or others recreational facilities that you could find some honeys at. Other than that the Liquid Courage is a problem. I too suffer from having my word stolen by the angels! my advice find a good recreational facility, one with a decent amount of ladie activies as well as coed, then just jump in play around with some women and then make the dreaded move!
Reply:Try coffee shops and shopping malls.Tell a girl some real compliment.Such as I love your outfit or your hair is gorgeous then ask her if she has a bf. Maybe ask for an email address. Or better yet can I buy you a smoothie? Then talk.Talk,talk.Where are you from do you work?What school do you attend .Do ypu like animals ?What kind of dog do you have?Last but not least an absolute chic magnet is a dog on a leash.Take it for a walk through town the cuter the better.If your dog is ugly put a bandana on its neck it will make it stand out.If that doesnt work buy a motorcycle women will beg you for rides.
