My friend is taking C++ programing in college and he has no expierence with programming?

is C++ harder than java programming because i believe it is but i just wanted some more oppionons on it

Usually the first programming class is designed for the student who has no proir exposure to the language in use. That is how my first C/C++ class was and it was a breeze.
Reply:They're fairly similar. Java clearly took ideas from C++ when the guys at Sun designed it, after all.





I wouldn't say either language is easier or harder. The only real difference in C++ is that you need to be more worried about managing memory. Otherwise, they're almost the same.
Reply:I beleive that it is, I would recomend that he purchase a good reference book to prepare before he begins his course. I found a good used copy on textbook411
